What to expect from your maternity session
Thank you for choosing Photography By Shal to capture this incredibly special time in your lives. Your session will take place in my natural light studio, located at Kings Park Business Centre – Kingston Road, KT33ST.
There is a paid car park if driving.
There are approximately 10 steps to reach my studio.
WHAT’S INCLUDED:
The session
Get ready for a beautiful and relaxed maternity photoshoot! The session will last around 1 to 1.5 hours, giving us plenty of time to capture stunning images of you and your bump. I have got a lovely selection of outfits for you, so all you need to focus on is feeling comfortable and excited.
The studio will be warm, so feel free to wear cool, comfy clothing for when you’re not in front of the camera. Hair and makeup are entirely up to you—whether you go for a natural look or something more glamorous, you’ll look amazing either way.
My clients are usually barefoot so please ensure that you either have your nails painted or tidy toes.
Please bring with you skin/neutral pants and bra (strapless of you have) and black pants and bra (strapless if you have). You do not need to purchase anything just bring a selection of what you have at home. If you wish to go with a demim look also bring along a pair of jeans for that comtemprary look.
Outfits and styling
Neutral tones photograph wonderfully and fit perfectly with my classic style, so consider keeping personal outfit simple (partners and children). Try to avoid large prints and logos to keep the focus on keeping to the neutral theme. You are more than welcome to bring a special outfit or item (scan pic or knitted items are popular) to incorporate, but I have everything you will need to have a fabulous shoot!
If you’re bringing little ones along, I have a wardrobe of adorable outfits for the (under 18 months). Otherwise, feel free to use the style guide to help with outfit choices. If bringing children, please do bring a snack and a toy to keep them entertained while we shoot mummy!
