Frequently Asked Questions
Newborn photography sessions are ideally booked for when your baby is 8-21 days old, however I believe that babies are beautiful at any age and do book in older babies too. Get in touch to discuss you newborn photoshoot at my studio in New Malden
The newborn photography/photoshoot will take approximately 2 hours, allowing ample time for capturing all the necessary shots and for your little ones to become comfortable in front of the camera. For Newborn sessions, I prefer to allocate a bit more time to accommodate breaks for feeding, cuddling, and nappy changes, as these in-between moments often result in beautiful images
Maternity and Baby session last approximately one hour, and I have two slots during the day.
I welcome and encourage the participation of both parents and siblings in the photoshoot. If you’d like to include grandparents or family pets then please mention this in your contact e.mail.
It’s perfectly natural to feel camera-shy, and even as a photographer, I can empathise with that sentiment. However, rest assured that before your session starts, I’ll take the time to connect with you and your little ones. For your children, it will be more like a fun play date, filled with genuine, unscripted moments. My photography style doesn’t rely on props, forced poses, or artificial smiles. My advice for your session is to simply relax and enjoy the experience whilst I guide you to do the rest!
The most important factor is ensuring that you and your family feel comfortable. Once you’ve confirmed your session, you’ll receive a link to a What to Expect guide, with advice on clothing choices, colour palettes, styling tips, and creative inspiration. I’ll be accessible before the session if you’d like to share photos of your outfit selections. I also have a selection of outfits in my client wardrobe that you’re welcome to utilise for mums-to-be, new mums, newborns, and toddlers upto 1 years old. All of these outfits match with the neutral tone of my photography and will make you (and your baby) feel comfortable and fabulous.
For Maternity sesions I have a fully stocked wardrobe so you just need to bring yourself!
