All about Christmas Mini Sessions 2026 – Wimbledon Baby Photographer
Every year I, Shal, your SW London, Wimbledon Baby Photographer, hold a full weekend of Christmas Mini sessions. And each year, these sessions are fully booked within the first 24 hours of booking slots being released.
But what exactly are Christmas mini sessions? And how does Shal make them unique and special each year? To find out more and have a peek at the new ‘sage and snow theme’ designed and created by Shal herself!
Christmas mini sessions are short photography sessions which this year are being held on November 7th and 14th at Shal’s natural light studio, Kingston upon Thames. They offer a way to capture beautiful images of your family in a neutral, festive setting. These sessions are usually around 30 minutes long, making them quick and easy and perfect for those with little ones who have a shorter attention span.
Mini sessions are perfect for families, couples, and anyone wanting to preserve special moments during Christmas. If you have little ones, this is a great time to document their growth. It’s also wonderful for creating lasting memories of your family’s journey together.
What can you expect in a Christmas mini session with Shal?
First, a beautiful set designed with timeless details. Think soft whites, warm neutrals and subtle touches of sage green that create a calm and cosy backdrop. You’ll find carefully chosen props and decorations that bring the magic of Christmas into your images without ever overwhelming them.

Who are these sessions for?
These sessions are ideal for past clients with babies over 6 months old, families with children up to 5. Many of Shal’s past clients come back to document their little one, year after year, with these very special photoshoots. They are great for those who want to create memorable Christmas cards. A beautiful photo makes all the difference when sending greetings to friends and family. Images from your session can also be perfect gifts for loved ones. They can cherish these timeless memories for years to come.
How do we book a session?
How to book your Christmas mini session
To book your session, keep an eye on your inbox on Saturday 19th September 2026 if you’re on the Early Bird List. You’ll receive an exclusive booking link giving you first access to the available session times before bookings open to the general public.
Spots are limited and DO fill up quickly, so I recommend booking as soon as the link arrives to secure your preferred time.
Once you’ve selected your session and paid your deposit, your booking is officially confirmed. You’ll then receive your styling guide and what-to-expect guide, with everything you need to help you feel prepared and make the most of your session.
The remaining balance will be due one week before your session date.
In just a short time, we’ll capture the little moments that make this season so special — the cuddles, smiles, laughter and connection. Beautiful, timeless images filled with warmth, love and a little Christmas magic.

A beautifully styled Christmas set and 30 minutes of professional photography, capturing natural moments and genuine connection with families of up to 5 people (3 children max). Minimum age of babies is 6 months (or sitting) in November.
✨ Styling & What-to-Expect Guide
You’ll receive helpful guides ahead of your session with styling inspiration and everything you need to know, so you can arrive feeling prepared and confident.
✨ Up to 25 Images to Choose From
After your session, you’ll receive a gallery of your edited images and the opportunity to select your favourite images from a selection of up to 25 photographs.
✨ Early Bird Saving — £50 Off
The standard session price is £175, but Early Bird members can book for just £125 on the release date.
